"Stronger Than the River" – A Plush Response in the Hill Country
This month, in light of the tragedy that occurred near the Guadalupe River in the Texas Hill Country, Vecino's Cafe stepped up to comfort the community by distributing teddy bears to children impacted by the traumatic events in Kerrville.
We at Plush in a Rush were honored to contribute to this effort by donating a batch of teddy bears wearing custom t-shirts printed with the uplifting message, "Stronger than the River." In times of hardship, it’s our goal to bring a bit of light and hope—reminding children and families that they are supported and not alone.
A heartfelt message from our customer, who shared the photos below, read: "In less than 24 hours your teddy bears went to children from Hunt schools. The World Central Kitchen partnered with us and when we told them what you had done, they knew exactly where to take them. They took them to the children at an event where they knew they were going to be this morning. They came back to get the rest of them a few hours later. So all of them went to impacted children in Kerr County. The World Central Kitchen took pictures and they are going to send them to me and I will send them to you as soon as I get them!"
