As a wholesaler, we generally do not collect sales tax from our Texas customers. Normally, our customers will return one of two completed forms, which can be completed online in about a minute.
1) Resale Certificate
2) Tax Exemption Certificate

Retailers such as gift shops, florists or any other customer that normally collects sales tax will need to return a completed Texas Resale Certificate.

Non-profits and charities need will need to return a completed Texas Tax Exemption Certificate.

For-profit companies that are donating their purchase to a charity will need to return a completed Texas Tax Exemption Certificate.

Public schools, government agencies (including police and fire departments) do not need to fill out a certificate as they have what's called a natural exemption.

For-profit companies that are giving their purchase away as a gift or premium are not exempt from paying taxes and we must collect taxes at the time of your purchase from Plush in a Rush.

Individuals that are donating their purchase to a non-profit are not exempt. To qualify for exemption, the purchasing entity must be a registered non-profit organization.
Once the form is completed, your account will be marked exempt and you will not be charged taxes upon checkout.
