Customer Spotlight: Molly Bears

At Plush in a Rush we work with many non-profits. We always try to find out what they do with our bears, such as the wonderful charity called Molly Bears.

Molly Bears
Molly Bears helps grieving families who have lost an infant by sending them a decorated bear. They'll personalize each bear and make it weigh as much as the child did.

Since its inception in 2010, Molly Bears has sent nearly 14,000 bears to 36 countries.

Mt. Plushmore - Vote Today

This October 27th will be President Teddy Roosevelt's 160th birthday, and one of his greatest legacies was--of course--the teddy bear!

Then we thought, "there is no Hall of Fame for plush toys, so let's come up with our own." We decided to "carve" our very own Mount Plushmore to honor America's favorite plush toys.

Naturally, the original Teddy Bear gets a spot, but we couldn't decide on who else should be on the mountain.

So we leave it up to you, our subscribers, to help us build Mt. Plushmore. We've narrowed it down to a group of finalists and we're asking you to vote on your top three picks! Don't see your favorite? Write one in!

We'll keep the polls upon all week long and a winner will be announced in November. As a way of saying thank you for participating, we'll draw two names from the list of voters and we'll send both lucky winners a grab bag of new plush toys.

Here are the finalists:
1) Care Bears - a popular line of toys that captured hearts throughout the 1980s.
2) Corduroy - the lonesome department store bear has been a favorite since 1968.
3) Hello Kitty - the international feline sensation hailing from Japan.
4) Hobbes - the beloved stuffed tiger from Calvin & Hobbes.
5) Paddington Bear - known for his old hat, battered suitcase, and love of marmalade.
6) Pound Puppies - another popular line of collectible plush toys from the 80s.
7) Raggedy Ann - the red-haired doll has appeared in children's nurseries for over 100 years.
8) Sock Monkey - a favorite that got its start in the Great Depression.
9) Velveteen Rabbit - the classic children's story featured a plush rabbit that came to life.
10) Winnie the Pooh - the lovable pudgy bear who lived in the Hundred Acre Wood.

Do you know your top three? Are we missing one? Tap the button below to cast your ballot or write in who you think deserves one of the top spots.

Vote Now!

Your vote counts! Thanks for taking the time to participate. We hope you have fun. Go ahead and vote now.

Customer Spotlight: Cheeriodicals

We've been working with Cheeriodicals for a long time, providing them with a plethora of stuffed animals for their business. Last year we designed and created their own custom-made branded frog!

Cheeriodicals

These cuddly, stuffed Cheeriodicals frogs travel all across the country and are delivered to hospitalized children. Through their corporate team building events, Cheeriodicals partners with companies throughout North America delivering big green boxes of cheer to patients in children's hospitals. Inside every box are toys and magazines that cheer up and engage kids as they deal with a hospital stay or complex medical condition. The centerpiece of the box is this wonderful frog and it continues to be a favorite among kids and families everywhere.

Customer Spotlight: ChemoCare Bag Ministry

We had a great phone conversation with one of our newer customers, Susie Folks, who helps manage the ChemoCare Bag Ministry in Livermore, California.

Her group sends off care packages to patients undergoing the arduous treatment of chemotherapy. The ministry was recognized by a local TV station, and they maintain an active Facebook page, where you can see some of their finished works before they are sent off.

Customer Spotlight: Elvis Tribute Artist - Art Kistler

At Plush in a Rush, we try learn as much as we can about our customers in order to serve them better. When we got an order from elvistributeartist.com, we had to learn more!

It turns out that Art Kistler and the EP Boulevard Show Band are a hot ticket for those wanting to recreate the magic of Elvis Presley at a live event. And now, that experience comes with our Colorama Bears! We're taking a wild guess that they make an appearance when Art sings (Let Me be Your) Teddy Bear. 🎤🐻🎵

Elvis Teddy Bear

We checked out his Facebook page and some of his YouTube videos for you, and when it comes to sounding and looking like the King, Art is the Real Deal.

Thanks Art for what you do, and you'll be the first to know if we ever start selling a plush hound dog. 😆 🐶
