The Spotlight is on Turner Barran
One of our regular customers, Deputy Turner Barran of Metairie, Louisiana, is the founder of Barran’s Bears, a nonprofit that provides teddy bears to police, fire, and EMS departments across the state. These bears are kept in emergency vehicles and handed out to children who are experiencing trauma—whether from domestic violence, car accidents, fires, or other crises.
To celebrate National Bring Your Teddy Bear to Work Day, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office shared a video showing how they’re partnering with Barran’s Bears to stock patrol cars with comforting plush friends.
