The Spotlight is on Terre Haute South Key Club
The Terre Haute South Key Club in Indiana recently made a heartwarming donation through their "Karing Bears" initiative, supported by a $500 youth grant from the Wabash Valley Community Foundation. With this funding, the club purchased 96 Colorama Bears to donate to both the local hospital’s emergency department and the Terre Haute Police Department.
These comforting plush companions are given to children facing difficult or traumatic situations. Club members, around 65 in total, took time to tie kerchiefs on each bear and carefully pack them for delivery—adding a personal, caring touch to the donation.
Their project summary not only broke down the costs but also highlighted strong student involvement. The initiative even landed a spot on the local newspaper’s front page, shining a light on these teens’ inspiring community service.
