The Spotlight is on Baseline Flowers
Located in Phoenix, Arizona, Baseline Flowers is a family-owned and operated business with over 70 years of history. Originally founded by Hiroshi “Nick” Nakagawa, the shop began as a vegetable farm after World War II and evolved into a full-service flower business.
From the 1950s to 1980s, Baseline Road was home to seven Japanese American families who sold flowers. Today, Baseline Flowers remains the last of those original shops—continuing a beautiful legacy in South Phoenix.
Following the recent passing of founder Nick Nakagawa, the family remains committed to honoring his memory and serving the community with fresh arrangements, unique gifts, and personal touches—including cuddly bears from Plush in a Rush.
