Plush in a Rush Donates Hundreds of Lions to Elementary School

After a Fire at a Chicago Elementary School, Plush in a Rush Steps in to Help.

Last week, we received an email from an elementary school teacher in Chicago. She told us her school, Onahan Elementary, caught fire while class was in session!

Fortunately, no one was hurt, but the K through 5th students were naturally distraught. They were sent to a neighboring school for several days while their own school was fixed up.

At the school's request, we donated several hundred plush lions--the school's mascot--so that each student could return to school with a lovable plush gift.

We sent the package of lions with a note, wishing all the students a happy first day back to school after the fire.

Patricia, the teacher who made the request, sent us a photo of one of the students holding a plush lion. Glad they were a hit!

We were happy to help Onahan Elementary get through a such a trial. Let's hope the students finish the year on a good note!

Cordially,
